Each poster begins with the writing of a headline subtly incorporating one or more elemental symbols (such as Al for Aluminum) into wording that captures a military image with punny relevance. Photography of ground, sea, and aircraft that feature Alcoa-manufactured components are then heavily manipulated to create a sense of gritty, imposing drama.
