Digital layout was first created to illustrate Alcoa's strong presence among East Tennessee's most recognizable landmarks. Visual Voice then collected and methodically cut up over 1,000 aluminum cans, featuring 44 different beverage brands, to amass a spectrum of aluminum colors. Every component of the cans was then assembled into a massive mosaic sculpture, including labels, lids, tabs, and even nutrition charts. The sculpture weighs approximately 100 pounds and took four months to create.
